4141's Triplet Lambs!

4141 had TRIPLET lambs last night!
All three have SHORT tight curls over they're whole bodies! In the few years that I've had sheep I've seen the tight curls just on their necks and those were the sheep with the best HAIR coats and shedders! So will be interesting to see how these guys turn out! ;-)

Lambie had twin lambs!

Looks like my big brown ewe (4141) could also be soon! Hopefully she'll wait till tomorrow, but if not will have to move Lambie and her twins into the buck barn, so that she can have the lambing pen. ;-)

The first lambs of 2009 are here!

Peaches & 650 are proud parents to TWINS!
She delivered the first lamb out in the pasture on Feb 4th at 1:55AM.

After I got them settled into their pen, she surprised be my starting to push again! I didn't think she was large enough for more then a single!
So at 2:25AM a EWE lamb was born!

Flock in the snow & expecting lambs!

Here's a couple of pictures of my Katahdin flock in their first snow of the season!
There's the ram, 4 ewes & 2 meat wethers.

Here's a picture of my January ewe lamb that is getting loose in the back end and starting to make an udder! My 'guess' is that we'll start having lambs on the ground around the end of January!

Lambs due in April!

My youngest ewe lamb was bred today (Velvet)!
I haven't 'seen' the other ewes being bred yet, so don't what their status is. I keep hoping I'll see udders developing on them soon.
So, I'll either be lambing through mid April or not until mid April! Hopefully the former!

LONG time since my last post!

I don't have any recent pictures except the ones I have posted on my website (Jekuthiel's Katahdins).
I am down to 2 Sr Ewes and 2 Ewe lambs, plus my ram.
I don't know when they will start lambing this year, as the ram was never seperated. My guess is Jan-Mar, as they haven't started making udders yet.
